Nicole Romero


Ms. Romero was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2017, and then attended Florida International University, College of Law (“FIU”), where she earned her Juris Doctor in May 2020, graduating cum laude.

While completing her legal studies, Ms. Romero served on FIU Law Review for two consecutive years, where she worked alongside recognized professors and legal scholars in publishing their academic writings in the organization’s journal. Ms. Romero also excelled academically at FIU, making Dean’s List every eligible semester, in addition to receiving the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Civil Procedure and Florida Civil Practice. During law school, Ms. Romero clerked for a large insurance defense firm in Miami, FL, gaining significant experience in civil litigation. She also helped underserved populations receive access to legal representation while clerking in the Health & Income Maintenance Unit of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.

Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Romero successfully represented employers and their respective insurance carriers for over three and a half years in complex work injury cases. This experience provided her with invaluable insights into the strategies utilized by employers and their workers’ compensation carriers in litigation. Moreover, her background grants her the foresight to anticipate the nuanced defenses commonly asserted by employers and carriers in workers’ compensation cases and preemptively address any potential obstacles.

Ms. Romero now dedicates her practice solely to advocating for claimants in workers’ compensation cases. Leveraging her background in defending employers and insurance carriers, she brings a comprehensive understanding of the law to each case, strategically positioning her clients for success in securing workers’ compensation benefits.
