Miami, FL (May 12, 2025) – A delivery driver was injured Monday morning while loading packages into a cargo van behind a retail business in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. behind a commercial plaza off NW 2nd Avenue. According to preliminary reports, the driver was attempting to adjust a heavy parcel when the van’s loading ramp gave way, causing them to fall backward and strike their head and lower back on the pavement. Co-workers called 911 immediately, and Miami Fire Rescue transported the driver to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

Witnesses stated that the equipment appeared unstable, and OSHA has been notified to investigate whether safety violations or mechanical failure contributed to the accident. The driver’s current condition has not been released, but they are expected to remain under observation for further testing.

Our thoughts are with the injured worker, and we hope for a smooth and full recovery.
